REGULAR – IRREGULAR NOUN

        Menurut bentuk perubahannya, noun (kata benda) dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu :

                A. Regular Noun

   Regular Noun adalah perubahan kata benda ( perubahan dari singular ke plural ) secara beraturan, yakni dengan menambahkan -s / -es.

1. Kata benda secara keseluruhan (mendekati 100 %) mengalami perubahan tunggal menjadi jamak (singular ke plural) dengan menambahkan “ -s “ di akhir kata.

                E.g :  Song   => songs

                         Bike     => bikes

                         Book    => books

                         Belt      => belts

2. Kata benda tunggal yang diakhiri oleh huruf –ch, -sh, -s, -z, -x  untuk menjadi jamak harus diambah –es.

                E.g :  Watch    => watches

                         Dish        => dishes

                         Glass       =>  glassess

                         Buzz        =>  buzzes

                         Box          => boxes

                B. Irregular Noun

   Irregular Noun adalah perubahan kata benda ( perubahan dari singular ke plural ) secara tidak beraturan, yakni tidak ada aturan pasti dalam pembentukannya.
